Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in communications planning, media strategy, or integrated planning within an agency environment.
- Proven leadership experience in building, mentoring, and developing high-performing planning teams.
- Deep expertise across the full media ecosystem—paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing across media, creative, CRM, and e-commerce.
- Ability to develop and own senior client relationships at the executive level.
- Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to turn data and insights into actionable frameworks.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver narratives to C-suite clients.
- Proficiency with planning tools and audience intelligence platforms like GWI, MRI-Simmons, Nielsen, and Comscore.
- New business experience with a track record of winning pitches.
- AI proficiency and a forward-thinking mindset for enhancing planning efficiency.
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership style suitable for a matrixed environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead communications planning across assigned accounts by developing audience-first strategies that define channel roles and message sequencing.
- Translate brand and business briefs into integrated communications frameworks, including audience segmentation, consumer journey mapping, and clear KPIs.
- Write and develop creative briefs that distill insights and define single-minded propositions.
- Serve as a senior strategic partner to clients, contributing a point of view on campaign strategy and audience engagement.
- Lead integrated communications planning across paid, owned, and earned media.
- Translate complex business challenges into sharp, compelling strategic frameworks.
- Partner closely with media, creative, CRM, and e-commerce teams to ensure full-funnel alignment.
- Drive new business efforts by developing insight-led strategies and presenting on a national stage.
- Oversee audience analysis and competitive intelligence to uncover growth opportunities.
- Mentor and develop a team of planners while championing measurement and learning agendas.
