Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or a related discipline (MBA preferred).
- At least 10 years of experience in market access, payer contracting, pricing, or reimbursement within biopharma.
- At least 3 years of experience in oncology, rare disease, or specialty pharmaceuticals preferred.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. payer landscape, Medicaid, Commercial channels, and government pricing.
- Proven experience developing and negotiating payer contracts for pharmaceutical launches.
- Demonstrated experience developing pre- and post-approval market access and launch readiness plans.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and build consensus.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching and retaining talent.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% for business needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the market access contracting strategy across Medicaid and Commercial payer channels.
- Establish contracting approaches including government pricing, regulatory considerations, and value-based opportunities.
- Lead market research initiatives to inform negotiation and launch strategies.
- Build and manage detailed contracting timelines for pre-approval and post-approval phases.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Recruit, lead, and develop the contracting team to support execution.
- Present contracting strategies and recommendations to senior commercial leadership.
