Requirements
- J.D. degree required.
- Licensed and admitted member of the Utah bar in good standing.
- At least 7 years of legal experience as inside counsel.
- Strong experience with all facets of business and corporate law.
- Ability to effectively provide legal counsel on employment law and mergers and acquisitions.
- High level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Experience in healthcare and/or education industries is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, relevant, and timely counsel on a variety of legal issues influencing the business.
- Represent the company on all legal matters and business interest needs.
- Source, manage, and ensure optimal utilization of external counsel.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements, including MSAs, leases, licenses, and partnerships.
- Coordinate corporate governance matters, attend Board meetings, and assist with minutes and resolutions.
- Design, implement, and enforce company policies to mitigate legal risks.
- Ensure compliance with all domestic and international laws and regulations affecting the business.
- Provide legal counsel on general employment law, mergers and acquisitions, and industry-specific regulations.
