Requirements
- Strong SQL and production experience with a cloud warehouse like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Solid dbt experience, including incremental models, testing, and project structuring.
- Experience with consistent data instrumentation and collection using Segment.
- Confident Python skills for writing ingestion, orchestration, and service code.
- Experience with a modern orchestrator like Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.
- Infrastructure-as-code and cloud fundamentals, ideally AWS with CDK or Terraform.
- Comfortable working natively with AI tools and integrating systems via MCP.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated within a remote team.
Responsibilities
- Own our Snowflake warehouse and the dbt project on top of it, including model layers and data tests.
- Manage critical business metrics including commissions, cancellations, bookings, and marketing attribution.
- Own daily ingestion from around 25 sources through dlt and Dagster, including Segment, HubSpot, and ad platforms.
- Run AWS infrastructure defined in CDK, including Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Athena, and Iceberg.
- Lead observability in Datadog, including dashboards, monitors, and cost visibility.
- Maintain platform health and implement proactive alerting to resolve issues.
