Requirements
- Approximately 6+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or related fields.
- Deep, hands-on AWS expertise and strong production experience with Terraform.
- Solid experience designing, deploying, and operating Kubernetes in production.
- Proven experience designing distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of high availability, multi-region architectures, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools including Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm.
- Strong understanding of cloud storage, large-scale object storage, and cloud economics.
- Experience with event-streaming technologies such as Kafka.
- Strong builder mentality with the ability to own projects from end-to-end.
- Security mindset with awareness of infrastructure hardening and vulnerability management.
- Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and continuously improve AWS infrastructure across multiple regions.
- Develop and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Helm with infrastructure defined as code.
- Design and operate highly available, distributed architectures for critical live-event workloads.
- Manage large-scale object storage environments exceeding 15 petabytes, optimizing for performance and cost.
- Build and operate event-driven infrastructure using technologies such as Kafka.
- Drive infrastructure cost optimization, focusing on storage and data egress.
- Build and evolve an internal developer platform for local development, deployment pipelines, and self-service workflows.
- Strengthen infrastructure security through vulnerability analysis, patching, and compliance adherence.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident resolution with detailed postmortems.
- Lead projects autonomously from discovery and scoping through production deployment.
