Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the solar industry.
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience with a record of new business development.
- Established relationships within the solar distribution ecosystem in Central America and/or the Caribbean.
- Proven experience working with solar distributors, channel partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, negotiate, and close new business opportunities.
- Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Solid understanding of distribution sales models, territory development, and channel strategies.
- Self-directed and proactive, capable of working with limited supervision.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and cultures.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50–60% throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a distribution growth strategy across Central America and the Caribbean.
- Identify, prospect, recruit, and onboard new distribution partners.
- Grow existing accounts by strengthening relationships with key decision-makers.
- Generate demand by engaging EPCs, installers, developers, and other channel influencers.
- Build territory plans centered on new business acquisition and channel growth.
- Analyze market trends and competitive activity to identify commercial opportunities.
- Maintain sales forecasts and pipeline visibility.
- Represent the organization at industry events and trade shows.
- Collaborate with internal sales, operations, marketing, and product teams.
- Travel extensively throughout the region, approximately 50–60% of the time.
