Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure security, or a related discipline, including experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.
- Deep hands-on expertise securing enterprise-scale hybrid and cloud environments, with experience in security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management.
- Strong knowledge of modern security technologies and practices, including IAM, privileged access management, endpoint protection, network security, cloud security, Zero Trust architectures, threat detection, and security automation.
- Experience implementing secure engineering practices such as DevSecOps, Secure SDLC, and infrastructure or security automation using scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of major security and compliance frameworks, including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, and CIS Controls.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with engineering, infrastructure, architecture, product, and business stakeholders.
- Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills, with the ability to influence teams and drive security initiatives across a complex organization.
- CISSP certification is a plus, as are CCNP Security, CCSP, GIAC, Azure Security, or equivalent certifications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of security controls across managed services platforms, infrastructure, cloud environments, and identity systems.
- Serve as a senior technical authority for security architecture, threat mitigation, risk management, vulnerability remediation, and complex security incidents.
- Drive enterprise Identity & Access Management capabilities, including authentication, authorization, privileged access management, access governance, and least-privilege frameworks.
- Establish and maintain security standards, secure engineering practices, and compliance controls aligned with frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
- Partner with architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and product teams to integrate security throughout the technology lifecycle and advance DevSecOps and secure-by-design initiatives.
- Translate security requirements and business risks into scalable, practical technical solutions across managed services environments.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security and engineering professionals while promoting strong security engineering practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, evolving threats, and modernization opportunities to continuously strengthen the organization’s security posture.
- Support platform engineering, infrastructure automation, cloud transformation, and other strategic technology initiatives from a security perspective.
