Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with at least 3 years, Master’s with 5, Bachelor’s with 7, Associate’s with 12, or high school diploma with 14 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, PharmD, PhD, or Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting senior executives in strategic planning, chief of staff, or business operations.
  • Experience leading Strategic Planning and Operations professionals or similar teams.
  • Strong business judgment and an enterprise mindset.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex information and drive implementation.
  • Excellent executive communication skills for senior audiences.
  • Ability to operate proactively in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities in matrixed organizations.
  • Pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience preferred, particularly in Pharmacovigilance or Patient Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the Vice President and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Lead and develop Strategic Planning and Operations colleagues.
  • Own and continuously improve the organizational operating rhythm.
  • Prepare senior leadership discussions by framing objectives, decisions, and risks.
  • Develop executive-level narratives, presentations, and decision materials.
  • Drive accountability by establishing clear owners, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Partner with R&D strategy, HR, and Finance to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead annual and multi-year strategic, financial, and resource planning processes.
  • Support communication, employee engagement, and change management initiatives.
