Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science or health-related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical research.
  • Extensive project management and line management experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical and/or device research.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Demonstrated leadership track record with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally including overnight stays.
  • Experience in managing complex and global trials is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage a team of Project Directors and Project Managers in the execution and governance of projects.
  • Provide leadership and strategic oversight on all clinical programs, serving as the primary point of escalation.
  • Optimize project profitability and manage resource allocations to meet budget and quality targets.
  • Select, train, and develop talent in project leadership positions.
  • Identify and mitigate impacts to project scope, resources, schedule, or budget.
  • Ensure project compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Business Development on proposals, budgeting, and bid defense.
  • Conduct project evaluations and lead mid-project recovery or adjustments when necessary.
