Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA eligible or CPA certification preferred.
- Previous third-party multi-family property management experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team of accountants.
- Deep understanding of financial concepts and GAAP.
- Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Senior, Junior, and staff accountants.
- Ensure the timely delivery of financial statements for property clients.
- Communicate financial performance to clients and resolve accounting inquiries.
- Review rent rolls, reconcile bank statements, and monitor operating results against budgets.
- Collaborate with operational teams to prepare and approve property financial budgets.
- Coordinate with leadership to establish and implement departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in hiring processes and conduct annual performance reviews for accounting staff.
- Support the response to financial audit requests and recommend procedural improvements.
