Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in front-end engineering.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with front-end animation (e.g., Motion, CSS animations).
- Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
- Strong sense of visual hierarchy, spacing, and typography.
- Deep understanding of accessibility, performance, and clean code principles.
- Ability to think in systems and navigate ambiguity in a remote, async environment.
- Effective communication skills for explaining technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Build polished, interactive web experiences for buffer.com including product launch pages, brand storytelling, landing pages, and marketing tools.
- Bring pages to life with thoughtful animations and interactions using Motion, CSS animations, or similar approaches.
- Evolve and maintain the design system and component library to improve consistency and enable team-wide efficiency.
- Improve accessibility and performance across buffer.com through ongoing auditing and iteration.
- Pair with engineers, review code, and contribute to front-end architecture and engineering standards.
