Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Experience supporting container platforms and Kubernetes distributions.
  • Advanced Bash and shell scripting skills.
  • Experience with enterprise networking concepts (proxies, virtual IPs, bastions, connectivity).
  • Hands-on experience with Proxmox and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong GitHub experience, including branching strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  • Experience implementing GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Understanding of infrastructure security (IAM, SSH keys, certificates, CIS, SOX, PCI).
  • Familiarity with enterprise middleware (Apache, Tomcat, Spring Boot).
  • Ability to mentor colleagues and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure including servers, operating systems, and databases.
  • Independently execute infrastructure implementations and provide technical knowledge transfer.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system problems and identify root causes.
  • Develop automation, scripting, and workflow improvements to increase system reliability.
  • Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code for repeatable deployments.
  • Partner with security and operations teams to improve platform reliability and compliance.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and share technical expertise.
