Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Experience supporting container platforms and Kubernetes distributions.
- Advanced Bash and shell scripting skills.
- Experience with enterprise networking concepts (proxies, virtual IPs, bastions, connectivity).
- Hands-on experience with Proxmox and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong GitHub experience, including branching strategies, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Experience implementing GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Understanding of infrastructure security (IAM, SSH keys, certificates, CIS, SOX, PCI).
- Familiarity with enterprise middleware (Apache, Tomcat, Spring Boot).
- Ability to mentor colleagues and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure including servers, operating systems, and databases.
- Independently execute infrastructure implementations and provide technical knowledge transfer.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system problems and identify root causes.
- Develop automation, scripting, and workflow improvements to increase system reliability.
- Implement GitOps and Infrastructure as Code for repeatable deployments.
- Partner with security and operations teams to improve platform reliability and compliance.
- Mentor less experienced engineers and share technical expertise.
