Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, total rewards, or a related People function.
  • Proven experience building or significantly maturing a compensation framework, ideally in a high-growth technology company.
  • Deep proficiency in compensation benchmarking methodologies and survey tools, specifically Pave.
  • Strong experience with job architecture, leveling, and career framework design.
  • Solid understanding of pay transparency laws and multi-state compensation compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills with ability to model and present complex compensation data.
  • Experience supporting Talent Acquisition teams with offer development and competitive market positioning.
  • Experience advising on executive compensation and equity programs.
  • Experience designing incentive/variable compensation plans for sales or GTM functions.
  • Experience managing compensation across multiple countries, specifically US and India.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Recognized depth in the field, e.g., WorldatWork CCP or GRP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own compensation strategy and compliance across all current and future Vultr geographies, partnering with legal and local experts.
  • Refine and own the compensation framework and band structure using Pave to ensure external competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain job architecture and leveling guidelines to support equitable titling and career progression.
  • Serve as the primary compensation consultant to Talent Acquisition for offer guidance, market analysis, and competitive positioning.
  • Manage the annual compensation review cycle and quarterly bonus cycles, including budget modeling and manager guidance.
  • Conduct internal equity analyses to identify and address pay gaps and inconsistencies.
  • Design and recommend GTM incentive compensation structures in partnership with leadership and Finance.
  • Partner with Finance and People leadership on executive and equity compensation matters, benchmarking, and governance.
