Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cash operations, payments, banking operations, financial operations, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of the controls and attention to detail required when working with customer funds and financial transactions.
- Proven experience with financial reconciliations and the ability to trace transactions end to end to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to follow issues through to resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with ticketing or case-management systems such as Zendesk.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Understanding of accounting transaction workflows and financial operations processes.
- Confidence using AI-powered tools in daily work with the judgment to validate outputs.
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Own the cash operations queue end to end, managing payment queries, deposit exceptions, transaction issues, and operational escalations.
- Investigate payment and cash discrepancies by tracing transactions from initiation through settlement and identifying root causes.
- Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of customer funds and financial transactions, maintaining records that support Finance, Compliance, and audit requirements.
- Work directly with banking and payment partners to manage recalls, rejects, escalations, and other transaction-related issues through to resolution.
- Strengthen controls around customer money movement by identifying recurring failure points and implementing practical improvements.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency through automation, data analysis, and AI-powered tools.
- Develop and maintain clear standard operating procedures, documentation, and operational workflows.
