Requirements
- 5+ years of political or advocacy fundraising experience, including federal or statewide programs.
- Demonstrated track record of closing major gifts and managing multimillion-dollar programs.
- Experience in building fundraising plans and managing revenue forecasts.
- Ability to advise principals and high-capacity donors with high-level judgment.
- Proficiency with CRM-driven programs (currently EveryAction).
- Working knowledge of California and federal campaign finance rules.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to the WFP mission of building working-class political power.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as the calendar demands.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a cycle-long fundraising strategy and budget in partnership with leadership.
- Cultivate, solicit, and steward high-capacity individual donors, family foundations, labor institutions, and PACs.
- Serve as strategic counsel to state and national principals on fundraising and political capital deployment.
- Supervise, coach, and develop California finance staff and consultants.
- Develop bundler networks, host committees, and peer-to-peer donor leadership.
- Partner with compliance and legal teams on campaign finance reporting and entity structure.
- Determine event strategy and oversee execution by the team.
