- Operate MongoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift, including health checks, capacity, connections, and storage growth.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, assessing driver compatibility, deprecated features, and query behavior against application code before production changes.
- Profile workloads, read explain plans, and design, add, or retire indexes based on query patterns.
- Run pre-deployment schema and data migrations with pre-checks, result verification, and tested rollbacks.
- Manage versioned database migrations in Git and apply reviewed changes through CI with GitHub Actions.
- Handle customer data extracts, reports, corrections, and deletion requests with approvals and an audit trail.
- Maintain Redshift reporting access over Iceberg tables in S3, including external schemas, Spectrum, Glue Data Catalog, views, grants, and query performance.
