Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in patient referrals, prescription services, or reimbursement in infusion or specialty therapies.
  • Experience delivering high-quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or pharmacy patient management systems.
  • Proficiency in medical or pharmacy terminology.
  • Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor monthly insurance eligibility and authorization status for assigned active patients.
  • Review CareTend queues and ensure all authorizations are current before service delivery.
  • Identify coverage changes and coordinate with patients, sales, and physicians for updated documentation.
  • Notify Reimbursement Specialists regarding new benefit verification or prior authorization needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and field partners for authorization inquiries.
  • Collaborate with clinical, reimbursement, and pharmacy teams to maintain case momentum.
  • Document all communications accurately in systems of record.
  • Track referral status and workload metrics to meet service goals.
