Requirements
- 5–10 years in retail merchandising, buying, or wholesale account management.
- Strong retail math proficiency: sales, margin, inventory, turns, weeks of supply, and units per door per week.
- Proven ability to turn analysis into commercial recommendations and present to senior retail stakeholders.
- Experience owning a category, a major retailer relationship, or a meaningful portion of a retail business.
- Ability to influence without formal authority and build trusted relationships with buyers.
- High ownership, urgency, and comfort working in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively for retailer meetings, line reviews, store visits, and trade shows.
- Familiarity with retail development programs or previous experience as a buyer or merchant.
Responsibilities
- Build annual and seasonal account plans covering revenue, assortment, doors, departments, and promotions.
- Manage day-to-day and strategic relationships with assigned wholesale accounts.
- Identify underperforming stores, products, and programs and develop clear improvement plans.
- Use account-, SKU-, and door-level data to recommend products, quantities, and pricing.
- Monitor sell-through and inventory to proactively manage replenishment and forecasting.
- Present performance insights to buyers to advocate for assortment expansion.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to build retailer-specific assortments.
