Requirements
- Proven track record as the technical owner of cross-team or platform-level initiatives.
- Deep technical foundations in distributed systems, data infrastructure, and service architecture.
- Proven ability to own complex systems from design through rollout and long-term operation, including observability and maintenance.
- Experience identifying and driving non-obvious technical investments that improve reliability or platform capabilities.
- Demonstrable depth with agentic AI-assisted development and AI-augmented workflows.
- Experience building, shipping, or shaping AI-native tooling or custom agents.
- Proven ability to mentor and coach senior engineers to higher levels of impact.
- Strong customer and product orientation with experience engaging directly with stakeholders.
- Clear written communication skills, including design documentation and post-release reviews.
- Ability to influence across team boundaries through technical credibility.
Responsibilities
- Own complete vertical slices of cross-team or platform-level work, including multi-quarter migrations and architectural pivots.
- Set the technical bar for designs and catch architectural drift, including in AI-generated work.
- Proactively identify and evaluate platform-level opportunities to improve reliability and customer outcomes.
- Define SLOs and observability for systems and share on-call ownership.
- Lead the rearchitecture of legacy or high-debt systems and manage migrations through to deprecation.
- Drive the team's adoption of agentic AI-assisted development by building internal tooling and defining workflows.
- Engage directly with customers and partners during incidents, design reviews, and major rollouts.
- Mentor senior engineers through code reviews, design partnerships, and direct coaching.
- Influence engineering practices across teams through written guidance and active technical leadership.
