Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Finance preferred.
- At least one year of professional experience in healthcare, insurance, or claims processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex contracts, guidelines, and workflows.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Willingness to learn new processes and healthcare payment requirements.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Reliable high-speed internet access and a dedicated, secure home workspace.
Responsibilities
- Review internal and client systems and claim documentation to determine eligibility and payment methodologies.
- Analyze contractual terms and client requirements to identify accurate claim repricing approaches.
- Apply established payment rules consistently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Partner with internal audit and operational teams to support compliance and quality assurance.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations related to accuracy, productivity, and timeliness.
- Maintain complete documentation of claim reviews and repricing activities.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies or potential issues according to established protocols.
- Protect confidential client and patient information in compliance with HIPAA requirements.
