Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related discipline.
- 5–7+ years of experience in healthcare data analysis, reimbursement analytics, contract management, managed care, revenue cycle, or payer/provider contracting.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, provider and payer contract language, and fee schedules.
- Demonstrated experience with payment variance analysis, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Advanced analytical capabilities to evaluate large datasets and identify actionable insights.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding concepts (CPT, HCPCS, ICD, and revenue codes).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting, or analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Analyze physician, facility, and ancillary contracts, claims data, fee schedules, and reimbursement outcomes to support contract management and performance monitoring.
- Identify trends, variances, and financial or operational impacts related to payer contract performance.
- Conduct detailed root-cause analysis to distinguish configuration, interpretation, and claims-processing issues.
- Use advanced Excel and business intelligence tools to organize, validate, and communicate complex healthcare data.
- Lead analytical workstreams from investigation through presentation of conclusions to stakeholders.
- Partner with contracting, reimbursement, and operational teams to align contract terms with data outputs.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for financial and operational improvement.
