Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience, including time in a principal, lead, or staff role.
- Strong proficiency in .NET Core (C#) and React (TypeScript) or similar SPA frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience shipping production AI solutions (LLM integration, RAG, MCP, agentic systems).
- Hands-on experience with cloud AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI/AI Foundry) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel).
- Extensive experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
- Proficiency with Entity Framework and Azure SQL or SQL Server.
- Experience evaluating AI system quality via test sets, benchmarking, and human review loops.
- Understanding of web application security and AI-specific risks like prompt injection.
- Proficiency with Git and modern collaborative workflows (pull requests, branching strategies).
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Experience in agile development environments using tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Proven track record of technical leadership, roadmap influence, and mentoring senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Set the AI technical direction, including model management, LLM/agent orchestration, and retrieval strategy.
- Deliver enterprise-grade AI features from prototype to production using .NET Core and React.
- Drive AI adoption within the SDLC, including coding assistants and automated testing workflows.
- Build trustworthy AI systems through evaluation harnesses, guardrails, and observability practices.
- Modernize and refactor legacy code to improve system scalability and support AI integration.
- Lead and mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Influence the business roadmap by partnering with product, architecture, and security stakeholders.
- Extend CI/CD pipelines to manage AI workloads and model versioning.
- Ensure AI features solve user problems with a focus on security, performance, and accessibility.
