Requirements
- Advanced degree in a life sciences discipline (MD, PhD) or clinical training (PharmD, MD, NP, PA).
- 5+ years of communications, advertising, or other relevant experience.
- Experience in corporate communications, PR, or investor relations within pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
- Ability to develop and present strategic scientific communications plans.
- Strong proficiency in translating complex scientific data into clear messaging.
- Experience with project management, including managing budgets and cross-functional team workflows.
- Leadership experience with mentoring or managing direct reports.
- Comfortable presenting in new business pitches and owning scientific content.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and meet quick timelines.
- Familiarity with therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, cardiometabolic/obesity, rare disease, or neuroscience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex data and science into clear, compelling narratives and storytelling for industry, investor, HCP, patient, and advocacy audiences.
- Develop data and medical meeting communications materials including press releases, Q&A documents, and scientific social content.
- Draft clinical trial materials and campaign messaging that differentiates scientific approaches or product offerings.
- Manage project scope, version control, and deliverables end-to-end as a writer, SME, or content reviewer.
- Guide clients on scientific communications strategy and partner with internal teams to deliver impactful solutions.
- Contribute to growth goals through organic and net new business pitches and tactical ideation.
- Lead and mentor direct reports, including providing feedback, managing workloads, and supporting career development.
