Requirements
- Prior experience as a Controller, Senior Controller, or Finance Lead.
- Strong foundation in GAAP and accrual accounting.
- Demonstrated FP&A experience including forecasting, scenario modeling, and variance analysis.
- Experience supporting professional services, recruiting, or project-based businesses.
- Proven ability to build and maintain profitability models by client, project, or service line.
- Experience building cash flow and hiring forecasts used for decision support.
- Comfort working with QuickBooks or Xero data.
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable guidance.
Responsibilities
- Design a GAAP-compliant chart of accounts and accounting structure for profitability analysis.
- Establish cost allocation logic for recruiter compensation, overhead, and expenses.
- Build financial models for search and client-level profitability, recruiter margin, cash flow, and hiring impact.
- Review monthly close processes in partnership with the external bookkeeping firm.
- Deliver management reporting with clear, actionable insights for operators.
- Act as a finance thought partner for hiring, growth, and cash flow decision-making.
