Requirements

  • Master's degree in business, energy systems, energy policy, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in business, policy, or technology development.
  • 3+ years of people management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives in mission-driven or professional environments.
  • Experience building partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to collaborate in a virtual work environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a long-term strategy for CATF's Geothermal Program to accelerate commercialization.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes through effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of staff and consultants.
  • Serve as a convener across industry, government, academia, and philanthropy.
  • Advance policies, financing mechanisms, and market conditions to move geothermal technologies to deployment.
  • Represent CATF as a public voice through media engagement, congressional testimony, and conference presentations.
  • Cultivate international partnerships with governments and multilateral institutions.
  • Partner with finance and development teams to manage multimillion-dollar budgets and secure funding.
