Requirements
- 4+ years of industry experience building backend software services.
- Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or demonstrated experience in the software industry.
- Experience building features for scale and performance using scalable APIs and REST frameworks.
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with SQL and no-SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, Redshift, MongoDB).
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, PHP, or Ruby.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and build backend features to support a wide variety of Renew Home customer experiences and third-party device integrations.
- Serve as the technical owner of critical product experience flows.
- Work with cross-functional teams including engineering, analytics, and product management.
- Develop and maintain stack components including Python, Nx, PostgreSQL, Celery, and AWS/GCP services.
- Implement API monitoring tools and proactively monitor API service performance.
- Participate in the development process including standups and peer code reviews.
