Requirements
- 5+ years in UX leadership roles, including experience as a Director or equivalent
- Proven experience managing teams of 5-10 UX professionals, including both designers and researchers
- Deep expertise in complex enterprise software for healthcare (experience with health insurance/payer systems strongly preferred)
- Track record of success in an in-house product organization or deeply embedded consulting role
- Experience managing geographically distributed or offshore teams
- Demonstrated ability to build influential relationships with senior product and engineering leaders
- Expert at design critique and providing actionable feedback
- Strong facilitator who can drive alignment across cross-functional teams
- Process-oriented with a toolkit of best practices
- Experienced in research oversight and translating insights into design direction
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on management, coaching, and mentorship to 2 UX researchers and 5 senior designers
- Conduct design and research critique, ensuring high-quality outputs across all projects
- Review and approve research & design plans
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Product and Engineering leadership
- Work directly with the VP of Product on roadmap planning and UX prioritization
- Adapt and maintain systems that provide real-time visibility into team activity, project assignments, and deliverables
- Optimize team workflows to increase design throughput and reduce time-to-test and time-to-delivery
