- Serve as lead representative to Congress, federal agencies, and the Administration on maritime shipping policy.
- Develop and execute federal advocacy strategies and annual policy agendas.
- Track, analyze, and respond to relevant legislation, appropriations, and agency rulemakings.
- Draft testimony, comment letters, position papers, and policy materials for policymakers.
- Build and sustain relationships with congressional members, committee staff, and agency officials.
- Cultivate a D.C.-based clean shipping coalition, including environmental justice groups, labor, and industry partners.
- Advise leadership on federal policy risks and opportunities, and manage relevant advocacy staff or consultants.
