Requirements

  • Experience producing brand, cultural, community, industry, or experiential events from concept through completion.
  • Strong creative instinct and practical ability to turn ideas into compelling physical or virtual experiences.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record in budget management and cost-effective planning.
  • Established relationships with high-quality vendors, venues, production partners, and event specialists.
  • Confidence managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset for handling live and virtual event challenges.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Deep understanding of event impacts on brand building, community development, and growth.
  • Enthusiasm for Kickstarter’s mission and creative communities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute Kickstarter’s portfolio of brand, creator, category, industry, and community events.
  • Translate strategic and creative concepts into clear event plans, production timelines, budgets, and onsite experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define audience, purpose, creative direction, and success metrics.
  • Develop event formats and experiences that feel distinctive and meaningful to community members.
  • Own end-to-end event operations, including venues, vendors, production, staffing, travel, run-of-show, guest experience, risk planning, and onsite execution.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage agencies, fabricators, and production partners.
  • Build and maintain a network of trusted vendors and cultural partners across key markets.
  • Manage event budgets with discipline and identify ways to maximize impact.
  • Establish repeatable planning tools, processes, and standards for efficient team execution.
  • Partner with Communications and Marketing to amplify events through content and post-event engagement.
