Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, insurance verification, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to navigate multiple software systems.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high call volume environment with strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Associate degree or higher in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient eligibility for Medicaid benefits using online systems and tools.
- Facilitate the Medicaid application process by reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve eligibility issues, including deferrals, denials, and re-certifications.
- Maintain accurate records and update patient status in Salesforce.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Medicaid inquiries from clients, caregivers, and partners.
- Collaborate with internal departments and healthcare professionals to support patient access to benefits.
- Assist in training staff on Medicaid verification procedures and policies.
