Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong analytical and deadline management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Experience with or ability to learn computerized accounting and research management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of agency guidelines for research administration.
- Ability to maintain composure while troubleshooting complex financial reports and budget setups.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-award duties including budget preparation, analysis, and proposal submission according to agency guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between faculty, Department Administrators, and senior leadership.
- Manage and monitor sponsored project budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate grant-related compliance tasks including human/animal protocol approvals and other required support documentation.
- Oversee the grant closeout process, including submitting final technical, invention, and financial reports.
- Track grant submissions, awards, and rejections in an online database.
