Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in land management, land acquisition, agricultural leasing, business development, or sales
  • Demonstrated expertise in outreach, relationship building, and advanced negotiations
  • Must live within driving distance, or be willing to relocate, to the Midwest, Southeast, or US Appalachian Region
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts and align stakeholders
  • Willing and able to travel multiple times per month
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in natural resource management, environmental science, agriculture, economics, or business

Responsibilities

  • Identify and catalog land parcels using company criteria and screening tools
  • Establish contact with landowners and build a pipeline of land opportunities
  • Prepare and present project materials and partnership proposals
  • Conduct due diligence and lead negotiations to close deals
  • Build and maintain relationships with land advisors and regional industry organizations
  • Synthesize feedback to improve partnership proposals and project economics
  • Collaborate with internal forestry, finance, supply chain, and legal teams
