Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in land management, land acquisition, agricultural leasing, business development, or sales
- Demonstrated expertise in outreach, relationship building, and advanced negotiations
- Must live within driving distance, or be willing to relocate, to the Midwest, Southeast, or US Appalachian Region
- Ability to communicate complex concepts and align stakeholders
- Willing and able to travel multiple times per month
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in natural resource management, environmental science, agriculture, economics, or business
Responsibilities
- Identify and catalog land parcels using company criteria and screening tools
- Establish contact with landowners and build a pipeline of land opportunities
- Prepare and present project materials and partnership proposals
- Conduct due diligence and lead negotiations to close deals
- Build and maintain relationships with land advisors and regional industry organizations
- Synthesize feedback to improve partnership proposals and project economics
- Collaborate with internal forestry, finance, supply chain, and legal teams
