Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2014/2016/2017+).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle DBA (12c/19c) administration.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Proficient in T-SQL, database backups, restores, and recovery processes.
- Experience with performance monitoring, query optimization, and index tuning.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Agent and database automation.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Perform database maintenance activities including backups, restores, integrity checks, and index maintenance for SQL Server.
- Monitor database health, performance, and capacity; troubleshoot alerts and incidents.
- Support performance tuning by optimizing queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies.
- Manage database security, user access, roles, and permissions.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases.
- Manage backup and recovery for Oracle using RMAN and Cohesity.
- Perform schema export/import activities using Oracle Data Pump.
- Support ASM/Grid Infrastructure environments.
- Coordinate with application teams on deployments and issue resolution.
