Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of statistics, econometrics, probability theory, and quantitative research methods.
- Proven programming skills in Python and R, with experience developing reliable and maintainable code.
- Experience working with large datasets, data cleaning, transformation, and analysis workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and research accuracy.
- Experience conducting empirical research or comparable analytical work in a professional environment.
- Ability to manage research projects independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Strong written communication skills with experience preparing research summaries or technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, harmonize, and analyze original datasets related to economic inequality, income, wages, and financial well-being.
- Work with large-scale and proprietary datasets while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality of research outputs.
- Conduct independent quantitative research with limited supervision, applying statistical and econometric methods.
- Develop and manage research tools, experiment designs, surveys, and data collection processes.
- Support project management activities, including organizing research logistics, experiments, and data collection initiatives.
- Conduct literature reviews, summarize research findings, and support the preparation of research documentation and materials.
- Perform interviews, focus groups, and survey implementation activities independently.
- Support academic programming, events, and administrative activities related to research initiatives.
- Assist with digitization efforts for archival materials and the transformation of historical information into usable datasets.
