Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience within a corporate or global business environment.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting principles, and general ledger accounting processes.
- Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and analysis of large datasets.
- Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Workday Financials is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in complex financial processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- CPA certification (active or in progress) is a plus.
- Experience in public accounting, Big 4 environments, or multinational organizations is beneficial.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and risk management practices is preferred.
- Experience with automation and analytics tools such as Workday Financials, Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, or Python is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead key activities within monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Maintain accurate balance sheet accounts and support accounting activities related to accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other financial areas.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, SOX requirements, and financial control procedures.
- Partner with finance teams and business stakeholders to validate financial information, support reporting needs, and provide audit documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, improve reporting accuracy, and implement automation solutions.
- Review accounting activities performed by team members or offshore teams while providing guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Analyze financial data, investigate discrepancies, and provide recommendations to resolve complex accounting issues.
- Support the adoption of finance systems and tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
