Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience within a dynamic corporate environment.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Hands-on experience managing month-end close activities, journal entries, balance verifications, and financial statement analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large dataset analysis).
- Experience working with ERP systems (Workday preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- CPA certification (active or in progress) preferred.
- Experience in public accounting or Big 4 firm is a plus.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain an accurate and reliable balance sheet while ensuring adherence to US GAAP, company policies, and SOX requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to validate financial data and support reporting requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and implement automation solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, review work performed by staff, and mentor team members.
