Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification, preferably CA or CPA, with 5–7 years of relevant experience, or a degree in accounting/finance with 10–12 years of controllership experience.
- Proven experience in accounting operations, financial reporting, controllership, compliance, and statutory requirements.
- Mandatory hands-on controllership experience within a complex business environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing audits conducted by Big Four or comparable professional services firms.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, ICFR, and processes designed to safeguard organizational assets.
- Experience improving finance processes, strengthening controls, and optimizing working capital.
- Knowledge of Indian accounting and regulatory requirements, including Ind AS, FEMA, tax, TDS, EPF, MSMED, RBI, CSR, and transfer pricing.
- Experience with revenue recognition policies and financial statement preparation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with financial reporting and enterprise tools such as Hyperion, Oracle, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to financial accuracy, compliance, and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate accounting operations, including financial close, reporting, corporate governance, controllership activities, and preparation of financial statements in accordance with Ind AS.
- Monitor compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including FEMA, CSR, tax, TDS, EPF, MSMED, RBI requirements, transfer pricing, and revenue recognition policies.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and ICFR processes to safeguard company assets and support reliable financial reporting.
- Prepare and coordinate statutory, tax, internal, SOX, balance sheet, and other financial audits and reviews.
- Partner with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure audit readiness, timely responses, and effective resolution of findings.
- Review customer contracts and purchase orders, identify deviations from standard terms, assess financial and compliance risks, and ensure alignment with internal policies and controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and controllership processes, strengthen operational efficiency, and optimize working capital.
- Support business analytics through timely ad-hoc analysis, financial reporting, and decision-support activities.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives focused on finance transformation, process improvement, compliance, and business performance.
