Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in aviation operations, logistics, workforce management, or a related operational field.
- Proven experience managing and developing distributed teams in fast-paced environments.
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in commercial drone operations, including knowledge of Part 107/135 regulations.
- Active 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong leadership skills with experience setting priorities, coaching employees, and managing performance.
- Ability to develop solutions independently and manage projects with limited direction.
- Experience managing external vendors and building effective partner relationships.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform moderate physical work outdoors and lift or transport equipment weighing less than 35 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Flight Operations Support Coordinators.
- Oversee regional vendor relationships, ensuring contract compliance and effective deployment of operational crews.
- Manage workforce planning processes, including staffing forecasts, recruitment coordination, and capacity planning.
- Maintain governance of operational systems, scheduling tools, and reporting platforms.
- Approve administrative processes including timesheets, expense reports, and travel coordination.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring compliance with safety policies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including maintenance, training, and community relations.
- Represent the organization during regional outreach activities and engagements with external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, team performance, and service delivery.
