Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project, program, or strategic initiative management.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct people leadership experience, including performance management.
  • Demonstrated success as a player-coach delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of concurrent initiatives and provide clear reporting to senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, risk management, and organizational change management.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience evaluating tradeoffs and developing business cases.
  • Highly organized with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for C-level communication.
  • Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools and Microsoft applications (Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
  • PMP, PgMP, CSM, or comparable certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of project managers responsible for delivering high-priority strategic initiatives.
  • Operate as a player-coach by personally managing complex or highly visible projects.
  • Establish and maintain common project management standards, templates, and governance routines.
  • Partner with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to support portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Translate executive objectives into clear project charters, scope, requirements, and work plans.
  • Facilitate cross-functional planning and decision-making with executive sponsors and business leaders.
  • Lead or support pre-transaction integration planning and post-transaction execution for acquisitions.
  • Monitor portfolio health and recommend corrective actions or re-prioritization as needed.
