Requirements
- Proactive thinker and systems builder with experience in resolving current issues while preparing for future opportunities.
- Strong track record of delivering results and owning increasing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a lean, fast-paced, and hands-on environment.
- Excellent skills in influencing and managing diverse stakeholders, including change management.
- Able to juggle a wide range of operational responsibilities reliably and nimbly.
- Diverse work background with adaptability across high-performing contexts like AI/tech or management consulting.
- Broad operational experience across finance, HR, procurement, compliance, ethics, IT, audit, and risk management.
- Deep experience living and/or working in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Must be able to travel 15%-25% for country office visits and team off-sites.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen and standardize country operations by defining clear roles and implementing scalable operating models.
- Embed global standards in finance, procurement, compliance, IT, security, and risk management.
- Oversee financial management for all country offices to ensure cost-efficiency and budget compliance.
- Lead new country launches and compliant wind-downs using established playbooks.
- Translate operational insights into repeatable systems, tools, and automation.
- Maintain a global risk framework and lead crisis management efforts.
- Serve as the operational bridge between country leadership and global teams.
