Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform development, including managing data teams.
- Deep experience with modern cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS/Azure/GCP data services).
- Expertise building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar orchestration frameworks.
- Strong SQL and programming skills (Python, Scala, or similar languages).
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, and real-time data ingestion strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed analytics team across multiple time zones.
- Establish priorities, set goals, and manage performance to foster a high-performing analytics organization.
- Develop and implement analytics standards, best practices, and processes.
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, event streams, and ingestion frameworks.
- Oversee the design and implementation of cloud-native data infrastructure.
- Ensure high data quality, consistency, governance, and observability.
- Oversee development of dashboards and analytics tools using BI platforms.
- Prioritize analytics projects and balance roadmap demands.
