Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform development, including managing data teams.
  • Deep experience with modern cloud data ecosystems (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS/Azure/GCP data services).
  • Expertise building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Apache Airflow, Spark, or similar orchestration frameworks.
  • Strong SQL and programming skills (Python, Scala, or similar languages).
  • Experience with data modeling, schema design, and real-time data ingestion strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed analytics team across multiple time zones.
  • Establish priorities, set goals, and manage performance to foster a high-performing analytics organization.
  • Develop and implement analytics standards, best practices, and processes.
  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, event streams, and ingestion frameworks.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of cloud-native data infrastructure.
  • Ensure high data quality, consistency, governance, and observability.
  • Oversee development of dashboards and analytics tools using BI platforms.
  • Prioritize analytics projects and balance roadmap demands.
