Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • 3 years of experience in Medical Office Scheduling.
  • Ability to perform duties consistent with university core mission.
  • Proficiency in computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures.
  • Ability to schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain clinical, non-clinical and surgical electronic schedules for physicians and patients.
  • Coordinate with clinical supervisors to optimize scheduling system utility.
  • Develop new functions and innovative uses of systems, including installing upgrades.
  • Provide training, manuals, and explanations for system users.
  • Generate reports and master schedules for physicians, providers, patients and staff.
  • Assist with data analysis as needed.
  • Coordinate scheduling with billing IDX dictionaries and act as a liaison with supervisors.
  • Troubleshoot system issues for all users and conduct regular audits.
  • Participate in department and university meetings to ensure system objectives are met.
