Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- 3 years of experience in Medical Office Scheduling.
- Ability to perform duties consistent with university core mission.
- Proficiency in computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures.
- Ability to schedule appointments efficiently.
- Must be able to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and maintain clinical, non-clinical and surgical electronic schedules for physicians and patients.
- Coordinate with clinical supervisors to optimize scheduling system utility.
- Develop new functions and innovative uses of systems, including installing upgrades.
- Provide training, manuals, and explanations for system users.
- Generate reports and master schedules for physicians, providers, patients and staff.
- Assist with data analysis as needed.
- Coordinate scheduling with billing IDX dictionaries and act as a liaison with supervisors.
- Troubleshoot system issues for all users and conduct regular audits.
- Participate in department and university meetings to ensure system objectives are met.
