Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Five or more years of experience in BSA/AML compliance within the financial services industry.
- Direct experience conducting EDD reviews on high-risk customers.
- Experience compiling data, analyzing, and explaining complex ownership structures.
- Prior people leadership experience (e.g., coaching, performance management, quality review).
- Understanding of financial crimes risks and red flag indicators.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of analysts performing EDD reviews.
- Oversee daily operations, workload planning, intake, and capacity planning.
- Monitor team performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead a quality control program for completed EDD reviews to identify root causes and improve training.
- Maintain and refine team procedures, process flows, and templates.
- Partner with first-line business units to ensure timely collection of customer information.
- Manage escalations of financial crime red flags and coordinate with investigation teams.
- Coordinate audit, compliance testing, and exam support activities.
