Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD software.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic theory.
- Deep knowledge of HVAC control building blocks, damper actuators, and control valve sizing.
- Expertise in control strategies for plant-level systems (chillers, boilers, air handlers).
- Expertise in control strategies for supplemental systems (VAV boxes, fan coil units).
- Knowledge of supervisory control strategies for BMS and life safety systems.
- Technical understanding of BMS communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks) and network topologies.
- Familiarity with Honeywell DDC product lines.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workloads efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and sales estimates to define project engineering deliverables.
- Generate Request For Information (RFI) requests for project clarification.
- Create comprehensive control drawings in AutoCAD including flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, and electrical schematics.
- Select and size control valves, actuators, and network components to provide cost-effective solutions.
- Design stable and scalable BMS communication networks using protocols like BACnet, Modbus, Lonworks, and Ethernet.
- Prepare submittal documents and electrical subcontractor buyout packages to define scope of work.
