Requirements
- Active AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer or Machine Learning).
- Extensive experience designing and building enterprise data or AI/ML platforms on AWS.
- Experience creating shared platform capabilities adopted by multiple products or business units.
- Experience consolidating production data systems through incremental migration.
- Strong hands-on AWS architecture experience (e.g., S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS, SageMaker, OpenSearch).
- Strong experience with event-driven architecture, APIs, data modeling, and governance.
- Strong MLOps architecture experience (deployment, serving, registry, monitoring).
- Experience designing search, vector retrieval, embeddings, or RAG data foundations.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation).
- Experience with multi-account AWS environments and private networking.
- Ability and willingness to write production code.
- Experience influencing senior engineers and enforcing architecture decisions.
Responsibilities
- Define target AWS architecture for shared data, document processing, and AI capabilities.
- Design canonical data models, ingestion pipelines, storage patterns, and serving layers.
- Build reusable platform components to support multiple products and projects.
- Establish MLOps architecture for model packaging, deployment, registry, and drift detection.
- Lead architecture reviews and set engineering standards for data and ML projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cross-functional engineering teams.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and execute the cross-project platform roadmap.
