Requirements
- United States citizenship
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Oral and written proficiency in English
- Basic computer skills
- Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
- Minimum 6 months of customer service experience
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation (NACI, Low Risk)
- Maintain a quiet, private home workspace with reliable high-speed internet
Responsibilities
- Schedule Veteran appointments for primary care, specialty clinics, and community care in accordance with VHA Directive 1230
- Verify and update patient demographics, next of kin, emergency contact, and insurance information
- Document interactions in CPRS and VistA accurately, averaging 20 cases per day
- Coordinate with the Lead Scheduler and care teams regarding referrals and system issues
- Provide professional customer service to Veterans, family members, and VA staff
- Complete annual cybersecurity, Privacy Act, and HIPAA training
