Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and DBT within production environments.
- Experience with Python, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid experience building and maintaining data models for petabyte-scale datasets.
- Demonstrated experience working within cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and choose optimal solutions.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex solutions to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience working successfully in a remote, distributed team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for exploring new technologies.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools like BigQuery, Fivetran, or Hightouch is a plus.
- Bonus: Prior experience with FinOps principles or FOCUS data models.
- Bonus: Experience or interest in AI-assisted data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and build data models that transform raw data into useful metrics and products using DBT and medallion architecture.
- Define success criteria and track key business metrics for product teams.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to collect requirements and teach data best practices.
- Lead data modeling projects, including tool selection and execution planning.
- Develop scalable solutions to process petabyte-scale datasets.
- Provide strategic guidance to partner teams by explaining analytical metrics and business impacts.
- Improve team operations by creating well-documented, reusable analytical solutions.
