Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience with cybersecurity exposure or direct cybersecurity experience.
  • Strong experience with cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-82, PCI DSS, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Deep understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, secure email gateways, endpoint detection and response, and data loss prevention.
  • Experience with security protocols and standards including SFTP, TLS, SSH, and AES.
  • Strong knowledge of identity, access management, and remote access technologies.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex cybersecurity investigations, threat hunting activities, and incident response efforts across enterprise environments.
  • Design, maintain, and improve cybersecurity systems, processes, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Assess security risks and recommend improvements to architectures, controls, and security services.
  • Monitor cybersecurity tools and services to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and operational issues.
  • Lead cybersecurity projects involving security reviews, vulnerability management, data protection, and remote access controls.
  • Provide cybersecurity awareness training and presentations to large audiences.
  • Collaborate with privacy, legal, compliance, and external stakeholders.
  • Support teammates through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
  • Provide after-hours support for security incidents and critical maintenance.
