Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience with cybersecurity exposure or direct cybersecurity experience.
- Strong experience with cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-82, PCI DSS, and HIPAA requirements.
- Deep understanding of security technologies such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, secure email gateways, endpoint detection and response, and data loss prevention.
- Experience with security protocols and standards including SFTP, TLS, SSH, and AES.
- Strong knowledge of identity, access management, and remote access technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in occasional after-hours incident response.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex cybersecurity investigations, threat hunting activities, and incident response efforts across enterprise environments.
- Design, maintain, and improve cybersecurity systems, processes, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Assess security risks and recommend improvements to architectures, controls, and security services.
- Monitor cybersecurity tools and services to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and operational issues.
- Lead cybersecurity projects involving security reviews, vulnerability management, data protection, and remote access controls.
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training and presentations to large audiences.
- Collaborate with privacy, legal, compliance, and external stakeholders.
- Support teammates through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
- Provide after-hours support for security incidents and critical maintenance.
