Requirements
- Recent graduate from a US university (BS or MS), or within 1–2 years of graduation.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, or PHP.
- Strong understanding of web fundamentals: HTTP, RESTful API design, frontend-backend interaction.
- Basic SQL and database understanding (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
- Ability to read documentation, debug systematically, and own work through completion.
- Reliable, communicative, and ability to surface problems early.
- Mandarin Chinese communication ability.
Responsibilities
- Build features across the full stack with a backend focus: APIs, business logic, data processing, and third-party integrations.
- Participate in technical solution design, coding, integration testing, and deployment.
- Take ownership of the quality of the features you build and deliver them to spec.
- Assist with production bug investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution.
- Use logging, monitoring, and database tools to trace issues methodically.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in system stability, performance, and code maintainability.
- Follow team engineering standards: code reviews, documentation, and testing.
- Proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers.
- Participate in post-launch retrospectives.
