Requirements
- Approximately 8 years of experience in editorial, medical communications, healthcare publishing, or content marketing.
- Strong background creating and managing medical, healthcare, or life sciences content.
- Experience producing client-facing, sponsored, or branded marketing materials.
- Familiarity with AMA style and commitment to editorial quality.
- Strong editorial judgment to identify risks in medical/regulated content.
- Experience collaborating directly with clients.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience managing work from freelance writers and external contributors.
- Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with medical-legal review processes is preferred.
- Experience building content operations and quality frameworks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the full editorial production process for client-related and partner-supported content, from concept development through final delivery.
- Create, edit, and oversee high-quality medical and professional content ensuring accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Translate partner objectives and business goals into valuable content concepts.
- Collaborate closely with client services teams to ensure project deliverables meet expectations.
- Participate in client meetings, including brainstorms and project kickoffs, representing the editorial function.
- Manage editorial assignments by delegating work across internal contributors and freelance networks.
- Source, brief, and manage freelance writers and subject matter experts.
- Maintain medical content integrity, ensuring adherence to AMA style and regulatory review processes.
- Develop repeatable workflows, templates, and standards to scale the content function effectively.
